CANZ Nelson Composers Workshop 2009
Venue:
Dates:
About the workshop The Workshop is open to all composers who are not yet professionally established, including senior secondary, university and polytech students. The purpose of the Workshop is to give students the opportunity to have their work rehearsed and performed by professional instrumentalists. The Workshop sessions are recorded, and CD recordings are presented to each student immediately following each session. The Nelson School of Music provides an excellent rehearsal and performance venue, and is in an ideal location for composers from around the country to meet to discuss and compare ideas about new music.
Special events at the 2009 workshop Sunday evening: Opening night concert, followed by the premiere screening of Chris Watson's documentary The CANZ Nelson Composers Workshop: Inside the Incubator
