Notes

  • Other instrumental combinations may be considered.

  • The submission of works whose instrumentation includes traditional Asian instrument(s) is encouraged, if performers are available or if they can be provided by the member country or by the composer.

Rules

  • Although submissions from composers throughout the world will be accepted, PRIOIRTY will be given to composers from composer organisations whose membership of the Asian Composers League is current (see the listing on the Application Form).

  • Compositions that project an Asian/Asian-Pacific identity or aesthetic are especially welcome.

  • A composer may submit NO MORE than TWO works.

  • A CD recorded performance of submitted works (live or computer generated) is considered highly desirable.

  • Preference will be given to SHORTER works (up to 10 minutes). This allows more composers to be performed.

  • Scores must be accompanied by a completed APPLICATION FORM, which must include PROGRAMME NOTES and composer BIOGRAPHY. (Composer photo portrait and performance parts of works selected for performance will be requested at a later date.)
